Monitoring mass bleaching at the Far Northern GBR
Invited by a team of researchers from the University of Queensland, I had the opportunity of traveling to the Far Northern section of the Great Barrier Reef to monitor the impact of the ongoing mass bleaching event. The underwater scenario was terrifying... with many corals looking bright white, and many others being already dead and starting to get covered by macroalgae.
